There are lots of great websites out there that offer free myspace graphics and layouts. Just type in "myspace graphics " or "myspace layouts" in a google search and a lot of places will come up. Here are some places I go to frequently for my profile:

As for music. Just go to the music section in myspace and look up the song or artist you want on your page. When you find the song you want just click add on their music player and it will be added to your profile. Hope this helps!

Well, with the new myspace-profile editor I think you can add solid backgrounds, but, I think you mean "background" as in LAYOUT.

To get a layout, you can go and type "Myspace Layouts" And see what comes up. THERE ARE TONS of websites with myspace layouts, prep, punk, emo, ANYTHING!! You can also create some of your own layouts, (if your good with HTML)

Once you find a layout that you like, copy the code and paste it in your about me section.

You can always search for "myspace layouts" or profile editors and you will get a list of all kinds of sites (in the free as well as the paid listings).

Most sites enable you to pick layouts / images and copy / paste the code into your profile from the edit page.

To do your own, you can look at those layouts and replace the URL with the URL of the image you want to use.

If you are uncomfortable with changing HTML / CSS code, then you might consider a site like ProfileMine at http://www.profilemine.com. They have an editor that allows you to upload images and change your profile content without typing any HTML code.
